Please join the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)’s Health Professional Educators Group in Family Medicine (HPEG-FM) for their annual community engagement event. We appreciate that many HPEs are struggling with burnout and a lack of recognition or remuneration for teaching. The impact of HPEs on FM residency education is undeniable with more and more HPEs taking on learners and team-based care becoming the gold standard of patient care.
Join this workshop to brainstorm and develop recommendations that highlight how this work can practically be recognized, acknowledged, valued, and measured. You will also learn the landscape at other family medicine programs to better meet your learners’ needs. These recommendations will then be refined and shared with the College of Family Physicians of Canada and with leadership at your various academic institutions for consideration and collaboration.
If you are planning on attending the community engagement event, please complete this poll to help us with the meeting logistics, attendance of additional guests, and indicate if guest passes are required. Please let us know in advance if you require one.
If you would like to bring another member from your institution who is not already part of the HPEG-FM to the meeting and/or community engagement event, please indicate this information when completing the poll.
